Dear Reader,

In 1874, four women came together at Syracuse Universtiy seeking to create an organization based around the four values of love, labor, learning and loyalty. Unable to find an organization that they felt represented them, they created their own. Now over a century later, Gamma Phi Beta has become a strong and active sorority that operates all across America and Canada.

The Gamma Tau chapter is proud to be a part of this national impact. We are also proud of the impact we have made in our decades on SLU's campus. We have had members participate in university and club-sponsered sports, student government, service organizations, artistic endeavours, serve on the university Panhellenic council, and so much more. For years, we have been striving to be the best that our chapter can be.

In recent months, we've made huge strides towards this goal. For example, this summer our current president was selected for and attended the annual leadership conference hosted by Gamma Phi Beta nationals. Additionally, we were recognized numerous times at SLU's Order of Omega awards for having the most improved GPA as well as the above all-studnet average. Our MVP Katie Jamieson was recognized with an award for her strong membership retention and our advisor Brittany Park won "Best Chapter Advisor." We are so proud of them and humbled by the recognition our chapter received.

What we are most proud of, however, is the women that Gamma Phis become during and after their years at SLU. Our philantrophy motto "building strong girls" not only applies to the girls we serve, it applies to our members as well. Every day, we are becoming strong, compassionate, driven, genuine, women who can and will change the world.

If you like what you're seeing and reading, be sure to check out our national website as well as our social media.

Sincerely,

Gamma Tau
